Ojai Valley Community Hospital, an affiliate of Community Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed general acute care facility designated as a Critical Access Hospital with a distinct part 66 bed skilled nursing facility. OVCH provides inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing services for mostly primary and secondary care needs. In addition, we operate a 24-hour standby emergency department.

Position Overview:

Prepares, seasons and cooks foods for facility's patients, staff and visitors. Determines waste to ensure no over production of food and complies with safe food practices based on departmental policies and licensing standards.



  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must be able to speak, read and write documents in English
  • One (1) year previous food service experience


  • ServSafe Certification
  • Six (6) months professional training at a culinary school
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and batch
